Economic Life of Jamaica

In 1997, 34% of the Jamaican population is below the poverty line. It is common that poor people are unhealthy and oppressed, but they know their limits. The place may have safe water, but the amount of malnourished children is still large. They had financial problems and decided to raise a fund for 1999-2000 budget. In 2000, they have experienced its first year of prosperity or positive growth since 1995. They joined a lot of programs which helped them to increase their economic growth faster. In 2015-2016, poverty rate drop almost 20% over two decades. The unemployment rate also dropped more than twice the national rate. However, Jamaica is still developing their labor force and strong social and governance indicators.
